Ben is a highly skilled Director of Photography with 20 years experience shooting high-end TV Series. He was one of the first adopters of gimbal technology from Freefly, and is a specialist at gimbal operating – having brought this style of shooting into reality TV, and having been part of the Oscar winning team behind the short film ‘Stutterer’ as Movi Operator. Ben has a versatile approach to lighting and camera operating, with a vast knowledge of different visual approaches and techniques to achieve the perfect harmony of image and subject matter. He excels in multi camera management, pushing the visual boundaries with multiple cameras.
Nick is a CIMA qualified accountant in the media sector. He’s worked for both large International organisations such as CNN and Warner Bros, and as Finance Director for smaller production and creative entities. Born and bred in Wrexham, Nick was a rad skater in his spare time. He switched Wrexham lager for Corona and the blue skies of Buenos Aires, where he is currently based with his family.
Andy is an experienced and forward thinking Camera Assistant and Jnr. Operator who has trained with Cutcam since early in his career. He’s been the technical mind and hands on technician for many of Cutcam’s projects, including Love Island and Too Hot to Handle, and as well as that, he’s a talented focus puller and someone you can trust to keep those tricky shots sharp. With a photographic eye and a smooth hand, he’s currently honing his skill as a Camera Operator.
Russell is a friendly and creative Camera Operator with over 20 years experience in the Camera Department. Whether its dynamic camera moves, intuitive actuality following, or long-lens observational camerawork that’s required, Russell is an enthusiastic all-rounder with the ability to execute shots to a premium finish.
Sam is a skilled Director of Photography and Camera Operator with a great eye for creative detail and a strong technical knowledge of cinematography tools. Mentored from Assistant level by Ben Hughes, he has honed his craft over a 15 year career and now has a CV spanning many of the most popular Reality TV series and documentaries. He enjoys working as both an operator or taking on projects as DOP.
Quin is a charismatic and energetic DOP and Camera Operator whose career in the camera department spans 2 decades. His visuals are across a broad spectrum of Reality TV & Factual television series such as Love Island, Too Hot to Handle, and The Apprentice. He is a skilled and trusted operator, whether tasked to follow the action on an observational documentary, or crafting the light and the gimbal moves for some cinematic B-Roll.
Andy is a highly skilled Director of Photography and Camera Operator whose work with Cutcam has spawned some of the most popular and beautifully shot Television series of the last 10 years. Andy is comfortable in any scenario that is needed of him, whether that’s following the action up a snowy mountain, or coordinating cameras to cover 10 people on a beach at sunset.
Joe ‘ Dixey ‘ is a talented Jnr camera operator and camera assistant with a multitude of skills. He can manage all technical aspects of cameras and monitoring in a multi camera setup, he is experienced in many types of different genres and has recently worked with us on Love Island in Mallorca.
Jon is a highly skilled and creative camera crane specialist that has collaborated with Cutcam on most of it’s high-end TV series. Whether it’s an 18 foot Jimmy Jib for tighter spaces, or a 75 foot Technocrane, Jon will produce dynamic moving shots, executed with perfect timing and exceptional composition.
Joe is a exceptionally technical and experienced Jimmy Jib technician and camera assistant. His knowledge of camera systems, focus, grip and Jimmy Jibs is second to none, and he is an integral member of the Cutcam Camera team.
Labrent is a recent addition to the Cutcam Camera team. He is a highly skilled technician with a specialist technical knowledge of modern cinematography systems, with a sharp eye for attention to detail and cool, calm energy on set.
