CUTCAM supplied the kit and crew to Mettlemouse Productions to deliver Honesty Box, a brand-new entertainment format filmed on location in Cyprus.
Our Director of Photography, Ben Hughes, carried out the pre-shoot recces, camera plans and kit list. Working closely with director Rhys Paddarn and the executive team, we shaped the visual style that brought the new format to life.
CUTCAM supplied a full camera crew of ten operators, focus pullers, and assistants, as well as all technical kit. The production was captured using a combination of Sony FX9 and ARRI Alexa 35 cameras, ensuring both flexibility and cinematic quality. Ben opted to shoot the MIV rooms in log on the Sony FR7’s with Gmaster autofocus Primes.
Beyond the shoot itself, we also managed the logistical side — including handling international carnets and manifests — ensuring seamless transportation of kit and smooth delivery on the ground.
The result was a visually distinctive and technically robust production that successfully launched Mettlemouse’s format.
Kit & LookTo achieve the show’s cinematic yet flexible aesthetic, we deployed a hybrid camera package:
- ARRI Alexa 35 on Movi Pro for dynamic movement and hero shots
- Sony FX9s on handheld rigs, shot on primes and sigma PL fast zooms for actuality.
- Sony FR7 Miv Cameras with G-Master autofocus primes.

This carefully balanced kit list allowed the team to move seamlessly between cinematic imagery, immersive multi-cam coverage, and Miv room capture — without compromising the visual language of the show.
